چکیده

This paper examines event-triggered broadcasting of state information in distributed networked systems. Event-triggering has the agent broadcast its state information when its local “error” signal exceeds a given threshold. We present a decentralized approach for determining event-triggering thresholds for nonlinear subsystems with the assumption that each agent only has access to its local state. The main results of this paper show that our decentralized event triggering scheme guarantees the asymptotic stability of the entire networked control system.

On Event-Triggered Adaptive Architectures for Decentralized and Distributed Control of Large-Scale Modular Systems

The last decade has witnessed an increased interest in physical systems controlled over wireless networks (networked control systems). These systems allow the computation of control signals via processors that are not attached to the physical systems, and the feedback loops are closed over wireless networks. The contribution of this paper is to design and analyze event-triggered decentralized a...

Asynchronous task execution in networked control systems using decentralized event-triggering

This paper studies decentralized event-triggering in networked control systems (NCSs), where all communication/computation tasks are executed asynchronously. A decentralized event-triggering scheme is proposed under this framework. We show that if the weighted sum of all minimal task periods and all types of delays is bounded, the resulting NCS is asymptotically stable. This condition suggests ...

Event-Triggered Networked Control Systems

Many of the results for event-triggered control of embedded systems can be extended to networked control systems. A networked control system or NCS is a set of controllers that coordinate their actions over a communication network. For NCS, event-triggering is used to decide when to transmit or broadcast the system state to a local controller’s neighbors. Using events to trigger communication a...

Distributed event-triggered control of diffusion semilinear PDEs

We introduce distributed event-triggered networked control of parabolic systems governed by semilinear diffusion PDEs. Sampled in time spatially distributed (either point or averaged) measurements are transmitted through a communication network to the controller only if a triggering condition is violated. We take into account quantization of the transmittedmeasurements and network-induced delay...

A bi-level approach for the design of event-triggered control systems over a shared network

An efficient usage of available resources is a substantial requirement for the successful design of networked control systems. Recent results indicate major benefits of event-based control compared to conventional designs, when resources such as communication, energy, and computation, are sparse. This paper considers multiple entities of heterogeneous control systems whose feedback loops are co...
